Why we Fight

Capitalism is the cause of war

How do you feel about war? People like you and me and our brothers and sisters, sons and daughters - killing each other - for someone else's disagreement. What was the disagreement about? No one can ever give a straight answer to that, but lately, we have seen many a war fought over land, and oil. Wars are also fought for religious beliefs - if you believe that sort of thing - as many have pointed out that religion has been used by governments to guide people into making certain choices and yes, even guide people into a war on occasion. So it would still boil down to the special interest of the government.

Now, with all the corporate involvement in government and politics, governments could conceivably go to war over corporate interests. Government officials using their power to send in troops and mechanized death machines purchased at millions and billions of dollars from tax payers, to do the bidding of corporate lobbyists promising them cushy corporate positions after their public office term is up.

This is what capitalism has evolved into, and it has only gotten worse with the advent of technological ways to move currency.

You can remember the which hunting days of Ronald and Nancy Reagan with their "Just Say No" and "Communism is bad" and how "Trickle-Down Economics" really "helped" - It did help the rich become the ultra-rich. I mean, How gullible are we for believing a guy telling all the poor people that if they give more money to rich people, then those poor will get more money - later.... Really - well its been much, much later and everyone is still waiting.

We see all time Highs for corporate profits, top-tier tax brackets have continuously been cut and reduced for decades, but the regular working person has seen the opposite effect. Working, and getting paid a normal wage, but then all the prices starting going up - fast, while wages stayed the same. People are working 2 and 3 jobs, and barely able to pay their bills on time. This is not a matter of lazy Americans, it is a matter trusting Americans.

We trusted the government had everyone's best interest at heart. We trusted that things were going to work out, that our elected officials would make everything alright. But it turns out, They are more interested in making that backroom deal to send your kids to war and secure that cush position than actually fighting for the people they represent.
